God loves women.
This last Sunday was Mother’s Day. For some, the day was bittersweet. I have many friends whose mom is no longer here on earth. I have some friends who are longing to be a mom themselves. I also have friends that are moms and they are struggling. (Being a mom is hard!) Then there are others who don’t recognize the day of Mother’s Day at all because it’s too difficult for other reasons that haven’t been mentioned.
The evening of Mother’s Day, there was a beautiful sunset! It was as if it was created just for women and for moms. The colors were pink and purple, which, for whatever reason tends to be the colors that represent the day. I found myself thanking God for caring so much for women!
So, whatever your last Sunday was like. . . It might have been the greatest day ever. It might have been the hardest day ever. It might have been met with disappointment and expectations not met. Or you might have felt so seen and loved and celebrated well. But, my friend, I have three things to pass along to you:
God loves women! In the Bible, we see the love that Jesus has for women. He often would speak to them first and would use them in mighty ways for His glory. And Jesus loves you! He still uses women for great and mighty things. And He wants to use you!
We have hope in Jesus! Those who have gone before us are cheering us on like a great cloud of witnesses. We will see them again because of the hope we have in Him!
God wants to celebrate you! Whatever season of life you find yourself in, know that you are being celebrated by the one who created you because He loves you.
So remember, you are so loved and valued! And God sees you and knows what the day brought and what today will bring. Talk to Him. He is waiting.
