magical.
My absolute favorite costume I ever wore for Halloween was the year I dressed up as a unicorn. I remember how beautiful and special I felt as I put on that magical unicorn horn, sparkles on my cheeks, with my empty (soon to be filled) candy bag in hand. I LOVED that costume! In fact, I loved it so much that I have saved it all of these years and my oldest daughter dressed up as a unicorn in that same costume! We won’t talk about how many years I have saved this thing.
Growing up I loved unicorns! In fact, I had a full collection of them in my bedroom. From the tiny trinkets sitting on my shelf to my favorite unicorn stuffed animal, Uni, which never left my side. I’m not sure what it was about unicorns and why I loved them so much, but I think it had to do with their majestic “power”, beauty, and wonder. In fact, I might actually secretly be hoping to see an actual unicorn in real life. Don’t judge.
Now, I don’t know what your feelings are about unicorns but let’s go back to majestic, power, beauty, and wonder. How well these words describe our God and King, our Savior.
Psalm 104:1 says, “O Lord my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty.”
Psalm 147:5 says, “Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.”
In Psalm 27:4, The psalmist expresses a desire to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to see him in his temple.
Psalm 65:8 mentions, “The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders.”
Majestic, power, beauty, and wonder. And our God is REAL and He wants to have a personal relationship with you. This truth never ceases to amaze me! When was the last time you spoke with Him? He hears you and sees you right where you are, even as you are reading this right now. Talk to Him, He is listening and He truly is magical!
